Chili and Lime Shrimp

  • 1.5pound Shrimppeeled and deveined
  • 2 Garlic Cloveminced
  • 1/2 Jalapeno Pepper
  • 2tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1tbsp olive oil
  • 2tsp Lime Juice
  • 1tsp Chili Powder
  • 1tsp Honey
  • 1tsp Cilantrochopped
  • 1/2tsp Cayenne Powder
  • 1/4tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  1. Wash, peel and devein the shrimp. Set aside in a large ziplock bag.
  2. Add the garlic, jalapeƱo, soy sauce, brown sugar, olive oil, lime juice, chili powder,cayenne, honey, cilantro and red pepper flakes to a blender or food processor. Mix until combined.
  3. Pour the marinade over the shrimp and let marinade for 10 minutes (up to 30 minutes).
  4. Thread 4 shrimp onto a bamboo (or metal) skewer and repeat until all the shrimp are threaded.
  5. Pre-heat the grill to medium heat. Place the skewers on a greased rack. Cook on each side for 2 minutes until opaque.
  6. Serve over rice, in a tortilla or alone!
