Homemade Caramel Sauce
We’ll show you how to make caramel sauce with only 3 ingredients! This homemade caramel sauce is easy to make and is ready in under 20 minutes. Perfect to add to brownies, cookies, ice cream and more.

Ingredients
  • 1cup Granulated Sugar
  • 6tbsp Butter(Cut into 6-8 pieces)
  • 1/2cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/2tsp Optional: Vanilla Extract
Instructions
  1. Place a non-stick saucepan over medium heat and add the sugar. Stir consistently until chunks of sugar start to form. Keep stirring until a thick brown liquid is formed (all the sugar is melted).
  2. Add the butter and stir for 2-3 minutes until the butter is fully melted into the sugar mixture. The mixture will bubble like crazy so be careful!
  3. Slowly drizzle in the heavy cream and let boil for 1 minute, while continuing to stir.
  4. Remove the pan from the heat.
  5. OPTIONAL – add the vanilla at this point and stir until fully combined.
  6. and let cool and thicken (approx. 30 minutes).
  7. Enjoy or store in an air tight container.
