Revel Wine Club – Our New Favorite!

Revel Wine Club – Our New Favorite!

We want to introduce you to our new BFF, Revel Wine Club, where premium wine is affordable and the experience is as inviting as the award-winning labels they carry.

We were introduced to Revel Wine Club by a happy accident. We had read about an Albariño we were anxious to try, however, it being 2020 it was sold out at our normal joints and our local grocery stores didn’t carry it. A quick Google search brought us to Revel Wine Club and the rest is history. We found the 2018 Tangent Albariño we’d wanted AND our new favorite wine club.

The first thing that stood out about Revel Wine Club was the ability to select individual bottles for delivery or sign up for a club membership. Most wine clubs we run into are just that….a club. No purchasing of individual bottles allowed unless you were on-site or placed a big order. Flexibility is key when it comes to wine as it’s such a personalized preference.

When joining the club (vs. purchasing individual bottles à la carte), you’re lead through a quick set of questions to personalize your membership. This is how Revel Wine Club curates your box so you get exactly what you’re looking for. Customization includes:

Type: all wines, organic only, or organic and sulfite-free

Variety: red & white, all white (with rosé) or all red.

The number of bottles: 4, 6 or 12

Timing: every month, or every second or third month*

*For those non-committal folks like us, we love how easy they make it to skip deliveries. You can quickly hop online and make the adjustment in your account. No email or dreaded phone call required. Nothing makes us run for the hills faster than a hard-to-escape membership program. You won’t find that here.

The second thing that stood out was the price point. Bottles start at only $10 ($8 for club members), which is a lower price point than quality wines you can snag at your local grocery store. And if you’re like us, you’re not trying to cruise into the grocery stores to “browse” the selections like it’s good ole fashion 2019. So, it’s nice to see budget-friendly price tags on award-winning wines.

Another addition to the “pros” list is the inclusion of a multitude of wines across a wide gamut of the “health and social conscious” field.

Organic and Sustainable Wines

Into organic or sustainable Wines? Revel Wine Club carries four organic wine brands:

Our Daily and Mother’s Choice wines are USDA Certified Organic, are preservative-free, and have no detectable sulfites.  They are also vegan-friendly, and gluten-free.

Flourish and Field Notes are made with 100% California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) certified organic grapes. They are also vegan-friendly, and gluten-free.

With the limited options for organic and sustainable wines currently on the market, it’s nice to see them featured at an attractive price point.

Low Calorie Wines

For those looking to limit their sugar intake, make sure to peruse the select of “low calorie” wines. We nabbed a bottle of the 2018 Foodies Sauvignon Blanc and fell in love with the crisp, fruit-forward flavor. Look for a recipe pairing for it soon!

Revel Wine Club 100% Satisfaction Guarantee

Wine preferences are highly individualized, so Revel Wine Club offers a satisfaction guarantee. Don’t love a bottle? Contact them within 14 days and they’re happily credit the full value of the bottle.

As with all booze deliveries, someone aged 21+ must be home to sign for the delivery. With almost the entire nation on some sort of lock down, it’s probably easier than ever to be home to sign for your goodies.

Sadly, due to booze laws, Revel Wine Club does not ship to these states: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Utah, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

In light of the times, we are supporting small businesses, including wineries, this holiday season. Revel Wine Club has a few gift bundles to choose from (we are partial to the Perfectly Pink Rose Gift Pack) as well as gift cards. They have something for every wine lover on your list.

At the end of the day, we sure are happy to have Googled our way to Revel Wine Club. There are many wine clubs out there to choose from, but all the pieces fell together for us with Revel Wine. We get what we want when we want. No surprises. After the year we’re having, everyone can probably appreciate a little consistency.

FoodieandWine.com readers, who are new to Revel Wine Club, will also appreciate saving $20 off a $50+ purchase with coupon code foodieandwine20. Tis’ the season for great wine, food and savings!
