Introducing the Bloody Maria, a south-of-the-border twist on the classic Bloody Mary and its distant cousin the Bloody Caesar. The Bloody Maria drink utilizes tequila to compliment the earthiness of the tomato juice, spiciness of the hot sauce and horseradish sauce, and the brightness of the lime.
Add your selected rimming ingredient to a wide, shallow dish. Rub the rim of the glass with water or juice from the squeezed lime. Dip the glass into the salt to create a rimmed glass. Set aside.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and throw in all the other ingredients and shake well to combine. Taste and adjust as needed.
2 oz tequila, 4 oz tomato juice, 4 dashes worcestershire sauce, 2+ dashes hot sauce, ½-1 tsp prepared horseradish, or to taste
Fill a tall glass with ice and pour the Bloody Maria Mix over the top.
Add garnishes and enjoy immediately.
Notes
Note 1 - Omit if you're not a fan of horseradish. Start with the lowest amount and increase to taste.Note 2 - Start with 2 dashes and add more if you like it spicy.Nutritional information is just estimated and not exact.
