Instant Pot Egg Bites (Starbucks Egg Bites Recipe)
These Starbucks Sous Vide Egg Bites exude richness and creaminess and utilize the same ingredients listed on the Starbucks website. They are velvety, springy, and light and are loaded with bacon, cheese, and flavor. They taste just like the same thing without the carrageenan.
Cook the bacon utilizing your favorite method to cook bacon. I throw them on a microwave-safe plate, cover them with a paper towel, and nuke them for 3-4 minutes, or until crispy.
MAKE THE EGG MIXTURE
Add the eggs, cheese, cottage cheese, heavy cream, salt and hot sauce to the blender and blend until smooth (about 15 seconds).
PREP THE EGG BITES
Spritz the mason jars or silicon mold with cooking oil.
Crumble and evenly distribute the bacon into the mason jars or silicon mold.
Evenly pour the egg mixture over the crumbled bacon.
Cover the containers loosely with foil.
COOK THE EGG BITES
Put 1 cup of water in the bottom of your Instant Pot followed by the trivet that came with your pot. Transfer the mason jars or silicon mold to the instant pot.
Place the cover on the Instant Pot and select "Steam" and set to 8 Minutes.
NPR (natural pressure release) for 10 minutes and then quick release (QR) the rest.
Carefully remove the egg bites from the Instant Pot and let cool down for a few minutes.
Enjoy immediately or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
Notes
*Note 1 - Great cheese options: Monterey Jack, Gruyere cheese, smoked gouda, pepper jack, and cheddar. Swiss will work in a pinch, albeit it's less flavorful.
