There’s nothing better than dipping perfectly cooked lamb into a complimentary cool lamb sauce. While tzatziki sauce is my usual go-to, I mix it up from time to time to this dipping sauce, that’s very similar, but doesn’t include cucumber.
Mint Sauce For Lamb
This mint sauce for lamb recipe makes 2 cup, which equals 8 servings (2 tbsp. per serving). Use it on all lamb recipes, including Lamb Lollipops, Smoked Rack of Lamb, Smoked Leg of Lamb, Sous Vide Leg of Lamb, or Sous Vide Lamb Chops.

Ingredients and Substitutions
Here are the simple ingredients needed to make this quick and easy sauce for lamb chops along with substitution ideas:
The entire list of ingredients is in the recipe card below:
Greek Yogurt – I recommend sticking with a brand you love that isn’t too tart. If you use a brand that’s very tart (like Oikos), the yogurt dipping sauce will be tart. I stick with Chobani or The Greek Gods.
Lemon Juice – Always use fresh lemon juice – bottled juice won’t have the same “fresh” flavor. A great substitute, in equal parts, is white wine vinegar.
Fresh Mint – I use fresh mint, a classic herb pairing for a yogurt sauce, but dill and oregano make great substitutions.
When making this recipe for lamb sauce, the quality of ingredients matters. Every component contributes to the final product’s flavor, texture, and appeal; shop accordingly.
Many of these ingredients can be used to make this Marinade For Lamb Chops.
